At Days Bakery we give thought and time towards reducing waste. Every loaf has its time to shine and sometimes these loaves are not sold and need to be thrown away.
To make this process more eco-friendly and sustainable we have signed up to Biogen Bygrave. This means any leftover bread can be made into biogas which is captured and fed into super-efficient gas engines to generate renewable electricity for the grid. What remains is a valuable biofertiliser which we put back into the land to grow more crops.
So our bread not only powers you throughout the day but also powers your home.
